About Us
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is the 8th new establishment of the IITs in India.
It was initiated by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Govt. of India to enhance the quality of technical education in country.
- Main campus is stretched over 520 acres of land.
- IIT Ropar now has working parts for 7 separate sections &schools utilitarian at the institute.
- The institute has provided extra-ordinary chances to students to enhance their academic skills by teaming up with UK schools for distinctive summer session.

Scholarships
- Facilitates Merit-cum-Means scholarship to about 25% of the students(AIR) up to 10,000 per month.
- Free Studentship to 10% of the students on the basis of AIR (All India Rank)
